GET TO KNOW THE GERBER TEAM | Q2 2017
Helping our clients live life intentionally is what we do, but beyond our process and servicing, how well do you really know our team members? Check out what our team has been up to in the second quarter (Q2) of 2017, below.
OUR TEAM is growing! We gained three new team members in Q2, bringing us to a team of 14 folks! Our marketing intern, Maria, transitioned to a full-time team member of the marketing team, Amanda joined our Client Services team, and Hannah is the new face behind our front desk. Stay tuned for new employee bios to learn more about our new team members!
OUR TEAM celebrated a few birthdays in the Gerber space! For one of our newest additions to the Gerber team, Amanda, we celebrated with delicious “Nothing Bundt Cakes” bundt cakes. We then celebrated Sarah's birthday with a little birthday prank... What appeared to be strawberry cupcakes, are really just plain vanilla with a little food coloring. Safe & delicious treat for our team member with a strawberry-allergy! *Disclosure: No strawberries we're harmed in the making of these cupcakes.

Rhonda’s last day. Our team celebrated a bittersweet goodbye to one of our beloved team members who left our team to move with her family to Minnesota. We had to say goodbye in true Gerber style, with a few treats. – Including chocolate chip cookies and blueberry cobbler for breakfast!
lIZ spent time in Q2 traveling to Spain with her husband. The couple spent time in Barcelona, Formentera and Ibiza, soaking up the sunshine and admiring the area’s beautiful beaches and architecture. Upon returning to Gerber, Liz transitioned to her new role as our Public Relations Associate. Stay tuned for her updated bio!
GERBER hosted a Discovery event in the second quarter of 2017. Uniting content experts with entrepreneurs is our goal, and in Q2 that meant bringing in Bill Troy to talk about the secrets of online marketing.
R.J. and his wife had their first baby! Our team quickly caught baby fever and threw a shower for R.J. in April before his paternity leave. The shower was complete with sliders, local beer, a diaper cake, and a game of ‘how big is the belly.’ Post paternity leave, the team was ecstatic when Baby R.J. IV made his first debut in the office. Just look at that face! (We were also thrilled to have RJ back).
GERBER hosted our quarterly happy hour for our friends and strategic partners. What better to complete a Gerber happy hour than adding local pizza and beer to the mix?
Check out event photos here and stay tuned to our
Facebook page for our next happy hour event.
Our TeAm welcomed NAWBO Columbus members and corporate sponsors into the Gerber space for a member Meet & Mingle Event! Attendees were offered mini makeovers from local spa,
Mukha Custom Cosmetics, while admiring gorgeous floral arrangements assembled by local florist,
Florish, and sipping on a signature cocktail – lavish lavender lemonade. We concluded the night with a raffle drawing where two lucky ladies won a free makeover or floral arrangement!
Erik and his high school friends (some of which he’s known since pre-school) united for a fun filled weekend in Philadelphia. While Erik and his friends graduated from East Aurora, a small town outside of Buffalo where chicken wings reign supreme, they opted to gather in Philadelphia to down numerous Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. The cheesesteaks were washed down with cold, local brews and lots of laughs. The picture below is of a watering hole located between Geno’s and Pat’s, two of the most well-known cheesesteak eateries.
Maria went on a European extravaganza with 30 of her relatives! They commenced their trip in the motherland, Greece visiting family in Athens and Sparta then boating to the surrounding islands. After overdosing on seafood, gyros, spanakopita, and saganaki, Maria and her family continued their European adventures traveling to Rome, Geneva, Paris and London. A few favorites from her voyage include The Warner Brother’s “Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour” outside London (Maria is a self-proclaimed Harry Potter nerd), indulging on macaroons at the original Ladurée in Paris, exploring Versailles, eating pizza and gelato for every meal while in Rome, and last but not least, all the beautiful beaches.

Jocelyn ditched her motorcycle and flew to L.A. for an extended weekend. The quick trip included time spent in Venice Beach, Muscle Beach, Griffith Observatory, Topanga Canyon and Cougar Mountain with some of her high school and college besties. Jocelyn must have missed Gerber too much while away, and hosted a barbeque for the Gerber team when she returned.
GERBER spent time sharing their expertise in Q2. Our founder, Randy Gerber, presented at a Columbus Business First Education Series event where he shared our company expertise on “Better Predicting Success Through Cash Flow.”
AMANDA enjoyed quality bonding-time with her two sons. She took her youngest, Noah, strawberry picking for the first time- which instantly resulted with little Noah covered in strawberry juice. [Strawberries:1, Noah:0] She then took her oldest, Donivan, to his first ever Clippers game! Needless to say, both boys had a blast.
Kirsten spent a weekend away celebrating a bachelorette weekend for one of her girlfriends. The ladies had a great time at the Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Belterra, IN hitting up the pool and spa by day and slot machines by night.
